The Lindenhurst Fire Department had a busy end to 2025. On Decemebr 20th the department was activated for an automatic fire alarm at Hurricane Wings on Montauk Highway. First Assistant Chief Cutolo arrived first and reported there was active fire on the roof in the rear of the building. One was put into operation by Engine 1-6-2 to quickly extinguish the fire. On Sunday November 12th, 2023 the Lindenhurst Fire Department hosted the first ever Town of Babylon joint Junior Fire Department Extrication Drill at Fireman's Park.
