Mutual Aid to Copiague F.D.
Council Member Paul Mazza, April 19
On the night of April 19, 2022 the Lindenhurst Fire Department was requested to assist the Copiague Fire Department as they battled a house fire on Dante Place. First Assistant Chief Collins and Ladder 1-6-4 responded as the RIT. The units were released in about 20 minutes.

Multiple Car Fires at a Hoffman Ave. Junkyard

The Lindenhurst Fire Department was alerted for multiple car fires in a junkyard on west Hoffman Avenue about 10:45 on April 15, 2022. Ladder 1-6-4 was the first unit to respond and was advised of multiple calls, Engine 1-6-6 was next to respond. Junior Snails Drill Team 2nd place

Congratulations to the Junior Snails Drill Team for taking 2nd place in the New York State Drill! They had a very successful season scoring in the top five at every drill, and taking first place in five of the ten contests at the state drill! Residential House Fire

At approx 5:45am the Lindenhurst Fire Department responded to a call for a house fire at 206 Dallas Street from a neighbor saying they saw flames and smoke coming from the roof. The neighbor was able alert the residents and assist them evacuating safely. Chief of Department DeGregorio was in command and the fire was under control within approximately 30 minutes. Fatal boating accident 30 years ago today

On Saturday, May 25, 1991 at approximately 12 noon, the dive team of the Lindenhurst Fire Department was toned out for a water rescue call: man overboard. Bay Company member Doug Negretti and Rescue Company member Guy Cassara responded with FD vessel 1-6-19. Hose Company member Steve Smaldon, who responded on his private jet ski, was the first on the scene.
