Preserving American Flag

Last month members of the Union Hook and Ladder Company presented an American Flag to Commander Kelly of VFW post 7279. This flag was recovered by members of The Lindenhurst Fire Department during a tragic fire that took place on September 4th, 2019 at the VFW hall. Fatal House Fire

Early this morning the Lindenhurst Fire Department responded to a call for a house on fire on North Kings Avenue. Upon arrival our members were met with a large volume of fire and worked swiftly to extinguish the flames. One resident did not survive their injuries from the fire.
