The Lindenhurst Fire Department was requested to assist the West Babylon Fire Department at a fire in the Fairfield Suburbia Garden Apartments on Great East Neck Road on Tuesday evening February 24, 2026. Chiefs Santos, Cutolo, Brink, and Batz responded along with Ladder 1-6-4 to the scene. The crew from 1-6-4 was used as a working truck and assisted in checking for extension and overhaul in the affected apartments. Due to the cold weather, Special Operations Van 1-6-10 and department bus 1-6-28 were also requested to the scene to be used as warming stations for firefighters after exiting the building. Engine 1-6-2 stood by at West Babylon Headquarters to cover their district for any additional alarms.
