In the early morning hours of May 23rd, 2022 the Lindenhurst Fire Department was called to a reported vehilce fire on North 9th Street. Chief of Department DeGregorio, First Assistant Chief Collins and Third Assistant Chief Cutolo responded first. Chief DeGregorio was given additional information that multiple vehicles were burning and he requested a second engine be assigned to the call. The Chiefs arrived to find two trucks involved. Engines 1-6-1 and 1-6-3 responded, with 1-6-3 being first due. That crew put the initial line into operation, the crew from 1-6-1 stretched a second line. The fire was knocked down quickly and contained to those two vehicles. There were no injuries.
