Members Recognized For Their Actions in 2023

At the February Department meeting, held on Thursday February 1, 2024 numerous members were recognized for their life saving actions at four incidents that took place on March 23rd, April 1st, May 4th and October 9th, 2023. These members recognized were awarded
1 Rescue Medal, 17 Pre-Hospital Saves, and 7 Unit Citations.

The Lindenhurst Fire Department was alerted for a reported vehicle fire next to a building at Surfside 3 Marina on South Wellwood Avenue about 00:45 on January 11, 2024. 2023 Memorial Day Services

2023 Open House

On Sunday May 7th, 2023 the Lindenhurst Fire Department held it's annual open house during the Spring Fest in the village. There were six stations staffed by members showing CPR, Stop, Drop and Roll, vehicle extrication, hose handling, and forcible entry. No Caption Mutual Aid to Copiague F.D.

Council Member Paul Mazza, April 21

The Lindenhurst Fire Department was requested for mutual aid to the Copiague Fire Department about 3:25 p.m. on April 17, 2023. Ladder 1-6-4 was the first due Ladder at an apartment fire on the second floor in a three story mixed occupancy building. Chiefs Santos, Cutolo and Brink also responded.
